3. Joining the Corners.....The sleepers are screwed together in the corners using 125mm bugle head wood screws.  Each tier is nailed together at an angle (after predrilling) with 100mm gal bullet head nails.

4. Overflow Pipe Hole.....This hole needs to be positioned 500mm from one end of the Ecobed, and the bottom of the hole must be 250mm from the bottom of the finished bed.

5. Work in Progress.....The Ecowood sleepers are tanalised plantation pine and are painted with water based acrylic paint.

6. Water Tank Liner.....Two pieces of 200um polythene sheet are layered to make this seamless tank liner.  It will contain water up to a depth of 250mm.

August 2015.....This surface mounted hatch is simple to make and gives excellent access to Ecobed 1.  It will be trialled for a few months before making any more, but so far its performed better than the hatch mounted at the end of the bed.  http://jas49580.blogspot.com.au/

13. Ready to plant.....The Ecobed has now been filled to 100mm from the top with soil, 60mm of homemade compost added and covered with 40mm of sugar cane straw mulch.
