The abandoned mansion, 'Mintaro', beautiful but derelict, is situated near Romsey in Victoria. The homestead is a rendered brick Italianate building with a two-storey loggia running across the front and part way along two sides. The entrance porch on the north side has free-standing Doric columns and is surmounted by an impressive three storey tower with a belvedere. The Mintaro homestead complex sits within an outstanding designed landscape created from 1881 to the 1920s.

Bolinda, Flemington, was built in 1884 and is of significance for its unusual design incorporating ornate detailing of Victorian Italianate style with a modestly sized facade. It is an unusual double bayed and parapetted stuccoed villa with Corinthian order pilasters at the windows, ornate balustraded parapet, swagged lower entablature, ironwork and gabled porch entrance. Issac McClelland appears to have built what was initially a four-roomed brick house in 1884 with additions to make it…

Milton Hall, North Melbourne, was built in 1884 for Robert Langford, fishmonger, property speculator, and Mayor of Hotham (Nth Melb). The large, elaborately decorated polychrome brick house originally had a tower (dismantled 1950s). It was converted to a boarding house in 1936 and fell into dilapidation before being purchased by its current owner in 1969 and reinstated as a family home. In 2015 one side of the verandah was restored courtesy of a grant from the VHRF.
