The teacup garden champions leafy tropicals. This medley includes the bananas Musa ‘Siam Ruby’ and Ensete ventricosum ‘Maurelii,’ Brugmansia ‘Charles Grimaldi,’ and Echium candicans ‘Select Blue.’ The orange-leaf plant is Solenostemon scutellarioides, and the bromeliad in front of the ensete is Vriesea ospinae var. gruberi.
Alocasia cuculata - Buddha's Palm. Georgina and I bought this at a stall at a Gardening Australia show, it needs shade and water to thrive. Alocasia cuculata is a small elephant ear with thick, shiny, green heart shaped leaves, with upturned leaf margins. This plant forms a nice sturdy clump. The flower spathe is hooded with the whole flower structure hiding below the leaf.
