L2M1AS1 PART B:C P-MODE – WITH PROGRAM SHIFT FOR EXPOSURE COMPENSATION USING AE LOCK, NIKON D750, 50mm Prime, ISO250, f/9.0, 1/320, no flash, hand held, horizontal orientation. Using AE Lock, the metering was done in the mid tone section of the plant, to alleviate highlights on the flower petals.  Using the AE Lock and then re-composing, the photo is exposed quite evenly throughout, bringing out some of the detail in the shadows without clipping the petals, which were in full sunshine.

The sun shining on the bright wall behind the plant was included in the metering therefore the result was a darker overall exposure with a darker background with more shadow and less detail. This photo could be saved in LR.
