Curtain Fig Tree - Wikipedia
The Curtain Fig Tree, just outside of Yungaburra, is one of North Queensland's largest trees, and a truly impressive sight. The roots drop 15 metres to the ground! Only around an hour and a half's drive from Paronella Park, it's well worth the detour!

Curtain Fig Tree in Atherton
The Curtain Fig Tree, an enormous strangler fig tree is native to Yungaburra, a small town in the Atherton Tableland, Australia. Normally these figs germinate on top of another tree and try to grow roots into the ground. Once this important step is accomplished, the fig will grow vigorously, finally kill the hosting tree and then grow on independently.
