For the Modern Hobbit

Glass House Architecture in Sunny California unique interior design Two islands. Nice ceiling, also.

A cob house can be built is 6 months (during the warmer months of the year) if you have 5 to 10 volunteers to help you out. Once the house is complete, if it has been properly designed, you will not need additional heating or cooling devices. Thick clay walls are a great insulation and openings that allow for air flow will keep the air in your house circulating during the colder months. Adding a green roof can help keep the temperature even lower, if you live in warm climates.

I absolutely love this. Reminds me of an adobe bubble house I saw in an article many years ago. Richard Olsen's Book Handmade Houses Showcases Beautiful and Unusual Homes : Architectural Digest. Probably for my future little house in Europe.

✿ڿڰۣ cool cob hobbit home. I'm even more interested in some of the images just below it-- the massive round window-room. I'm pretty sure the other image with the greenhouse built onto the left side of the front door is the same house. Awesome design lets one take full advantage of the beauty (and humidity, smells, etc.) of their garden!

Hobbit home! I want to live here.

I think Simon Dale built this too... theres pic of hobbit home with one big window from outside in my board
