Lähinnä appiukkoni Veikko Lahden osallistumista kaksiin Olympiakisoihin ensin Helsingissä vuonna 1952 sekä sitten Melbournessa 1956. Yritän kerätä sellaisia kuvia, joita ei ole julkaistu lehdistössä. Vuosi 1952 kiinnostaa minua varsinkin siksi, että synnyin Olympialaisten ensimmäisenä kilpailupäivänä 20.7.1952.

June 10 – 1956 Summer Olympics: Equestrian events open in Stockholm, Sweden (all other events are held in November in Melbourne, Australia).

Betty Cuthbert - Only 18 years old, the shy Sydney-sider handled the intense home pressure, to take 3 gold medals. She took another gold, in the 400m, 4 years later in Tokyo.  1956/Melbourne.

Betty Cuthbert won Gold in the 100 and 200 metres sprints and the 4 x 100 metres relay at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games
