SoCo (South Congress) Neighborhood in Austin
If South Congress is the best place for out-of-towners to visit, can you imagine what it's like living there every day? Short commute to downtown, restaurants/shops/bars within an arm's reach and the First Thursday street festival every month. It does get crowded on the weekends, but the hustle and bustle is good for you. Right off SoCo is Travis Heights which also has great houses and nice parks.
