Lu Dongbin He visited an inn where he met Han Zhongli. Lu fell asleep and dreamed that he was promoted and enjoyed his good fortune for 50 years (sounds good to me!). However, his luck ran out and his family was disgraced (ah there's the catch). When he awoke only a few minutes had passed. He then decided to seek the Dao in the mountains and get rid of all worldly ambition.

Zhang Guo He was most famous for his skills at necromancy. He could also give the childless or newlywed couples children. He has the peaches of immortality which is probably why he is called Old Man Zhang.

Lan Caihe He/she (no one is entirely sure) came across a beggar dressed in filthy rags and covered in sores. Being the kind soul he/she is, he/she decided to stop and wash and dress his wounds. Turns out this beggar is Iron Crutch Li in disguise (these guys certainly like their disguises). Her kindness to the beggar was rewarded with eternal youth. She/He then went around spreading the word of Dao.

He Xiangu Aw yeah the only for sure female! She got the gift of immortality after a spirit told her to eat a mother-of-pearl stone found on the mountain she lived on. Seems easy enough. I like this girl's method most.

Cao Guojiu He was a brother of Empress Cao who became disillusioned by corruption at court and went to the mountains to seek Dao. He came to river and tried to pay with a golden tablet. The river guy got mad and shamed Cao who then threw his tablet into the river (I would not have done that). Turns out this guy is Lu Dongbin, is impressed with Cao and taught him the Dao.

Han Xiang He became a disciple of Lu Dongbin, who took him to heaven to the tree which bore the peaches of eternal life. However, Han, being clumsy, slipped and started to fall towards the earth. Luckily he became immortal right before he hit the ground (good timing).
