Gene Kelly (August 23, 1912 – February 2, 1996) was an American actor, dancer, and singer known for his energetic and athletic dancing style. Kelly starred in, choreographed, and co-directed some of the most well-regarded musical films of the 1940s and 1950s including ‘Singin’ in the Rain’. The musical comedy was produced in 1952 and directed by Kelly. This still is taken from the famous scene in which Kelly dances down the street with an umbrella in the pouring rain.
