Fingerprint Jewellery + Sentimental, One of a Kind Keepsakes on Instagram: "BEFORE > AFTER Or more like, After, before, and the steps that were taken to get there 🤭 🦄✨🦋 It doesn’t matter how many times I see it with my own eyes, the process of turning wax to metal is pure magic. 🤔 What exactly is that you ask? ➡️ Well, firstly, the wax is usually added onto a tree of other waxes that are to be created in the same metal (i.e silver or 9ct yellow gold etc), and then a plaster cast type mould is created around that tree. Then the wax is melted out - this is where the “lost wax” comes into it. ✨ This is also why I send multiple balls of wax for one finished pendant - because 1 piece of wax = 1 finished piece of jewellery, and the wax is literally lost and melted away in the process of
