The Easter Bilby
Greater Bilby -- a small, nocturnal marsupial that now mainly inhabits some arid desert areas of Western Australia and a few small pockets of Northern Territory and Queensland. There are estimated to be only a few hundred bilbies left in the wild as they have encountered challenges such as habitat loss, competition from introduced rabbits, and predation by introduced foxes and feral cats. A second bilby species – the Lesser Bilby – has been extinct since the 1950’s.

The tiger quoll is listed by the IUCN on the Red List of Threatened Species with the status "near threatened". The Australian Department of the Environment and Heritage considers the northern subspecies D. m. gracilis as endangered. This species is vulnerable to decline because it requires certain climates and habitats, it tends to live in low densities, it is likely to compete with introduced predators and requires lots of space, and it does not live very long
