Students will view examples of "Op Art" (The art of optical illusions). They will discuss the different ways that art can "fool the eye" and "play tricks with your eyes". They will create their own Op Artwork by using markers, rulers, and geometric shapes. They will also learn about color contrast, and will choose colors that are either high or low contrast. (This part is good, but I might do take a chance to teach about complimentary colors instead.)

Angles and Geometry: Classifying, Estimating and Problem Solving

In this activity, students build a device that allows them to classify angles as acute, obtuse, right, straight and reflex, and estimate their measures using "landmark angles."
