Lots of Montessori phonics resources plus video to help parents teach letter sounds to their children at home. Video tells how to pronounce each letter sound, gives a suggested order for teaching letters, and includes a simple phonics game for toddlers!
Give each student a sheet of paper with every classmate's name on it. They had to write a nice sentence about everyone in the class. Then each student has 20+ nice things written about him or her. This activity was great because some of the students in my class don't hear about how great they are at home. Keep them in a frame to preserve them. The kids will love hearing about how great they are from classmates.
This is a good activity because it allows people to reflect on who they are and what they have achieved over the years. Some times people forget who they are doing activities like this one, lets them remember the accomplishments they have done. I think the las column "what I am famous for" is the most important column because it reminds me that I am different than every body else
