Over 100 works of art created by Aboriginal Australian children from 1945-1951 will return to Australia.  Between 1910 and 1970, tens of thousands of Aboriginal children were taken from their families and placed in schools or foster families as part of a national project to assimilate Aboriginal people into white Australian culture. Their  images depict the Noongar people, landscapes and animals of the region.
