Bring a steamer to boil
1 cup of glutinous rice, wash once and then add 8 cups of water.
Put it to boil
Peel half a taro and chop it up in chunks
Now and then, stir the pot to prevent it from sticking onto the bottom. When it's boiling, turn down the flame to low and leave the lid half open. Continue to monitor (ie stir now and then)
The coconut milk
Once the steamer is boiling, evenly distributed the taro into the steamer
1 tbsp of cornflour to 600ml of coconut milk
After 10 minutes of steaming, it should be soft. Take it off the flame.
Heat up the coconut milk into the saucepan. Add a pinch of salt and a tsp of sugar. Empty only the coconut cream part of the can. Leave the liquid water in the can for later. Bring to boil and monitor
