CINDER BLOCK STAIRS...use dirt and some "step-able" plants for a greener area! I'd also add some decking wood with a dark stain to the tops of each step and paint the bricks.

fill cinder blocks with a creeping ground cover like thyme which smells so good when walked on.-----good idea on a bank or berm; helps keep weeds to a minimum as the thyme (or other groundcover) spreads and hides the cement.
