Mixing up some dried fruit and ground nuts as a base breakfast cereal this week. Buying direct and in bulk can save you a fortune, especially for these sorts of staples.
Using up this week's left over fruit in a fresh apricot, plum and mixed berry frozen yoghurt, topped with flax and nut meal, strawberries and dark chocolate.
Using up a heap of in a simple mix, soon to be wrapped in puff pastry, cooked til golden and consumed well before it's sufficiently cooled. We throw in the odd surprise like a bit of blue cheese or fig to keep things interesting.
