This book will assist educators and committees of management to address the National Quality Standards (NQS) for Early Childhood Care and Education and to prepare their Quality Improvement Plans (QIP). It addresses five key principles, identifying what they are and why they are important for children’s learning and development.
This book provides Educators with knowledge and clarification of five curriculum approaches; Emergent Curriculum, Reggio Emilia, Project Approach, Integrated Curriculum, and Inclusive Curriculum. We explore how to integrate these approaches with the EYLF and discuss programming techniques and assessments of learning. Each curriculum approach is defined and explained to assist Educators in choosing a curriculum approach that fits their personal philosophy and style.
