It’s that time of year again where my family insists I be locked up. Not that I’ve done anything wrong yet —it’s just that they know something embarrassing is imminent. It’s the annual or bi-annual council pick up, you see. That time of year when distracting piles of junk—no let me rephrase—someone else’s treasure lies on the curb for all to see. The very innards of their soul lie naked for public perusal.

It’s Brisbane's annual or bi-annual council pick up—that time of year when someone else’s treasure lies on the curb for all to see.

'Aussie, Actually' is now on Audible. The book is an honest and humorous account of Lois Nicholls' new life on foreign soil – battling through endless Brisbane summers, the struggles to make new friends, coming to terms with leaving her family behind and understanding the quirks of living in Australia.

Written by Lois Nicholls, narrated by Jane Prior.

Don’t cause a scene. These were the unspoken words I grew up with. Cultured women don’t lose their decorum and tell shop keepers what they think of them. They maintain their dignity and they leave. They remain in control. Not this time.

I was walking along a country lane near my home recently, mulling over all the things I had to do that day when in the distance, I saw an elderly man rummaging through his refuse bin.

Hands-down, the best advice I've read for jump-starting your day & increasing productivity. Loved the Make Over Your Mornings course-- Crystal is so inspiring & full of practical tips on creating schedules that work and prioritizing your day-to-day tasks to get. it. done.

I don't normally do a lot of these type things. Take random courses. I decided to do this one. Resources, workbook, a course for everyone. I'm a grandmother with no small kids and I can relate.
