Who loves seeing emus when you're outback? Emus are always our favourites to see, and we love seeing father emus with all their striped chicks (emu dads raise the chicks after the mum has laid the eggs). Photo is in the southern Flinders Ranges, near Port Augusta
Outback outdoor toilet. Known as an 'outhouse' or 'dunny'. No flushing water in these, of course, just a hole in the ground with a crude wooden seat above. We had one when I was growing up in outback NSW.
