New Lynn Police Station. 2012. The land at the corner of Gt Nth Rd and Todd Ave was purchased from S.H. Todd and this brick building was opened as a Post Office in 1930. an addition was made to the building in 1941. The postmen moved to a separate building in 1955 constructed at the rear of the site. In 1968 NZ Police initially leased the building then purchased it. Source: I. Clulee.
New Lynn Post Office. 1962. The land at the corner of Gt Nth Rd and Todd Ave was purchased from S.H. Todd. The Postmaster-General opened this Post Office in 1930. An addition was made to the building in 1941. In 1963 the Post Office Savings Bank Branch was moved to leased premises in Todd Ave previously occupied by Farmers Trading Co.
