No Knead  No Oven Bread – cooked in a thermal cooker.

Thermal Cookers. These are basically slow cookers but without using electricity. Apparently an old idea (look up hay boxes), but basically you heat your food for 10-30 mins using the inner pan, place inside the insulating outer and it will continue to cook for up to 8 hours. This is one is pretty reasonably priced at £42.00

Thermal cooker - theses things are a modern version of haybale cooking and a scaled up version of thermos cooking. Great for a caravan!

Cooking rice in the Thermal Cooker: use less water, because the steam is trapped.  This recipe: 8 cups water to 5 cups white rice (or 4 cups water to 2.5 cups white rice for smaller pot). Bring to boil, stir for 4 min before placing in outer container.
