A brief history: The Alkimos was an Greek international ship that got stuck on reefs just off the shore north of Perth, Western Australia in 1963. After other several attempts of trying to rescue the ship and finally getting it to Fremantle for repairs, repairs were not not done due to owed money and a tow was organised to tow it to Hong Kong for urgent repairs.
