Oatlands inspired Pencubitt, my imaginary sea-fishing village. Here at the mill I spent countless hours playing imaginative games.

Did you know that Australia's oldest bridge is in the southern Tasmanian town of Richmond? . A picture-perfect town in the heart of the Coal River Valley wine region, Richmond tells the story of an early Australian colonial village and boasts more than 50 Georgian buildings, many beautifully restored colonial buildings that now operate as cafes, restaurants, galleries and accommodation. #discovertasmania #richmond #bridges #convicts #tasmania Image Credit: milesgray88

All very accessible, all very photogenic ... there is something very soothing about the flow of water and the instant get-back-to-nature feeling they give. Rabbit Island in the waterways of Port Sorell, as salt water meets fresh. This estuary is a vast area of water: both a National Park on one side (Narawntapu) and a summer and fishing playground the other. The area a favourite amongst locals. Strange sounding names abound - nearby Squeaky Point being a good example. Image credit: Neil Hargreaves
