THE ROMANOVS JEWELRY~This brooch with big oval sapphire and pearl belonged to Empress Dowager Marie Feodorovna of Russia. It was presented to her by future Edward VII and her sister Alexandra by her wedding (another version is that it was presented by Emperor Alexander II, father of her future husband). After Marie Feodorovna's death her daughter GD Xenia gave (or sold?) this brooch to Queen Mary of Teck. Today the brooch is in the Royal collection of HMTQ Elizabeth II
