Plexus is a chamber music group based in Melbourne, made up of clarinet, violin and piano. To date this extraordinary classic music group has premiered some 30 new works by Australian composers, having commissioned 70 new works. The members of the group are: Monica Curro (violin); Philip Arkinstall (clarinet) and Stefan Cassomenos (piano). Pianist Stefan Cassomenos was a grand finalist and recipient of the Second Grand Prize in the prestigious International Telekom Beethoven Piano Competition Bonn in 2013 in Germany. He was also the recipient of the Chamber Music Prize. In 2012, he was a grand finalist in the Rhodes International Piano Competition.

Violinist Monica Curro has been Assistant Principal Second Violin in the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for 18 years.

Clarinettist Phillip Arkinstall was Principal Clarinet in the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra for 11 years before moving to Melbourne in 2009 to take up the position of Associate Principal Clarinet with the Melbourne Symphony.
