Hanne Nielsen & Brigit Johnsen, Grinding Onions Lengh: 6:27 min. 1995 Grinding onions shows two women performing in a trivial scene from daily life – grinding onions. The video deals with the collective experience in crying which can be seen as a feminism statement about female circumstances as well as the construction opens up for our collective experience with in crying and confronts the spectator with suffering as a concept.
