This post explains why documentation is important and a few different ways of documenting. Documentation allows you to see children's interests overtime and build off prior interests for future activities.

Identity Boards: The first few weeks we create self portraits. We read the book ish & began drawing. We take their photos and cut them in half and they draw the other half of their face. Then we drew our self-portraits. I scanned the portraits and created a document for the identity boards. The children wrote their names and I scanned them into the computer. On the other side of the lattice is their family photos.

Identity Boards: Read the Book Ish. Take Photos of the Children and Cut Them in Half. The Children Draw the Other Half of their Face. Then Draw Self-Portraits. Scan the Portraits and Create Identity boards. The Children Can Write their Names Too.
