Main street Rainbow 1930. Shops on the other side of the street include JL Wishart jeweler; AG Strauss general store & West's butcher shop. Wishart store incorporated two shops, the jewelers [at right below the sign] & a drapery [at left below the sign]. A sausage factory was at the rear of West's next to which is a laneway. On the other side of the lane is Congoleon's cafe. The 2 storey building with the veranda is the Middle pub & the National Bank is between that & AC Strauss
Noske Brothers Flour Mill at Rainbow in 1915. There are a number of men standing on a raised platform where there is a stack of grain sacks. Advertising signs on the building including: Federal manure, Bagshaw farm machinery and Massey Harris.
