The lighting feature in this newly created space at #MJHxAlbionSt was the handcrafted light fixtures made locally in Melbourne by Robert Gordon. The soft curves bring a lovely ambiance to the kitchen.
The tall wall of joinery at #MJHxAlbionSt provides extra storage and also houses our integrated Fisher & Paykel fridge.

Situated within the inner-city suburbs of Melbourne, this stunning Victorian Terrace was in need of renovation. The small, outdated kitchen was not functional and had a lot of remedial work that needed fixing. Photography: Joel Noon
The Macaulay Street Project has been transformed into a light, sophisticated, and functional kitchen. The space has been completely transformed, by installing Velux skylights, new aluminum doors, and a splashback window- allowing maximum natural light throughout the space. The brief was to create a space with a traditional aspect including shaker-style doors, herringbone flooring, a warm and detailed splashback, and pairing these with brushed brass fittings and fixtures. A small apartment kitchen renovation in South Yarra had just 2.4x2.4m of space to add more functionality to and storage, as well as a Breakfast Nook area for dining. Designer Matt from M.J. Harris Group designed custom cabinetry with Tasmanian Oak panelling, which cleverly conceals the handles for the refrigerator and pantry. The white #pennyround tiled splashback and bright white colour scheme was also part of our design recommendations to provide the illusion of more space in this home.

The Avenue renovation was completed by our team at MJ Harris Group, which included a kitchen update and both bathroom and ensuite. Located in Parkville, this apartment has been completely transformed by our team of designers and tradespeople. With what once was a drab and dark kitchen is now a bright, open and functional kitchen. The existing kitchen had beige tiles on the floor with beige carpet in the rest of the house.
