At that time I had no idea how to choose paint colors that set the mood in your home, and I basically let the painters choose an all-over white for us. After living here for a few months, I wondered why it felt cold, uninviting and sterile. 😞 Then I started researching paint colors, and my whole house revamp and this page was born. 😅 Greek Villa by Sherwin Williams is the warm white paint color I've chosen for our foyer, living room, and hallway. As I've shared about it, I've had a ton of feedback from people who also love it, and others on a quest for a similar vibe creamy, sunny, and cozy vibe in their homes. ☀️ But there's one concern that gets raised over and over - does it pull yellow? /Does it have yellow undertones? Yellow undertones are something I generally try to avoid, especially with beiges, but here's the thing with whites - it's extremely hard to find a beautiful warm white without a hint of yellow. I tried many and they often looked gray or even pink. And the cooler spectrum whites have that stark/sterile feeling I mentioned before. While Greek Villa does have a small bit of yellow in the formula, I don't see it on the wall whatsoever. I currently have it in two low lit spaces and even without sunlight, it looks like a true creamy white. I will say, I don't love the way it contrasts with stark/ceiling whites, so I always recommend color drenching with Greek Villa and spreading its goodness even further. 😎 You can see in my clips that I haven't done this yet, but it's on my list. Other popular whites we compared it to were Benjamin Moore's Swiss Coffee and White Dove, and SW's Alabaster and Marshmallow. While they were all nice, Greek Villa was the clear winner in brightness while bringing the warmth and coziness.
