My Mother's porcelain ashtray! Age ? 1930's?
My Mother's toy tea set - she got them in 1918! Made in England.
I think she is Chalk ware! I have had her for over 50 years and she was second hand then!
Tobacco Head Humidor, Tobacco jar collectors search for those made in odd shapes and colors. Because tobacco needs special conditions of humidity and air, it has been stored in special containers since the eighteenth century. Tobacco was sold in cloth or paper bags until about 1880, when tobacco tins were made. This belonged to my Grandfather.
