The Tudor Rose, a symbol of the joining of the two factions that fought in the War of the Roses. On his marriage to Elizabeth of York, Henry VII adopted the Tudor rose badge conjoining the white rose of York and the red rose of Lancaster. Henry's mother Lady Margaret Beaufort was from the House of Lancaster.
