I realized the other day how beautiful is a black shelf full of books, then when I was doing a research I found out that is not just with books that a black shelf looks great.But my favorite is still the black shelf full of books in a black wall.

we discussed that a combination of timber floor and cabinets might not work but tonally this works well. We could have the floor as the lighter tone (as requested) a darker tone for the lower cabinet doors and maybe white for the wall mounted doors.
