Police Forensics examine the crime scene where underworld figure Desmond 'Tuppence' Moran was shot dead earlier today, at Ascot Vale on June 15, 2009 in Melbourne, Australia. 60-year old Moran was the fourth gangland figure in his family to be slain, following the death of his brother Lewis Moran in 2004 and nephews Jason in 2003 and Mark in 2000.
Jason Matthew Patrick Moran (22 September 1967 – 21 June 2003) was an Australian criminal from Melbourne, Victoria, and one of the leaders of the Moran crime family, notable for its involvement in the Melbourne gangland killings.
Mark “Chopper” Read was one of Australia’s most notorious criminals who earned fame and fortunate by writing ten books detailing his life inside and outside of prison walls. Oh and he had his ears cut off to be transferred to another wing in prison. He died on October 9, 2013 at the age of 58.
