When it comes to foreign substances on the floor, as long as the restaurant exercised reasonable care, they are not held liable. There was a case where a man was not paying attention on a rainy day, and when he entered the restaurant, he slipped and injured himself. However, an employee had been continuously mopping the floor to keep it dry. In this case, the restaurant used reasonable care and was not liable for the injury. If the restaurant was had not mopped regularly, they could be liable.
