Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems have been around for over 50 years and are used to design virtually every product you see. Designers use the computer software to design a product and then produce pictures to manufacture that product. Software packages can be 2-D or 3-D and some provide the ability to make a model of the product before the real thing. For the tourism industry this could be used to design airports, hotels, attractions or floor plans for trade shows, exhibitions or expos.
