L2M2AS1 Blurred motion with frozen background - evening under streetlights. ISO 500 48mm f/20 0.8sec Nikon D7100 with tripod. Adjusted to cooler WB in Lr and used Presence sliders for better impact. Cropped to get rid of empty space in bottom left corner. Shadows darkened to get rid of distracting sign in top right corner.

L2M2AS1 Part B Manual - Frozen movement indoors - ISO 1000 55mm 1/500th sec f/5.6 Nikon D7100. This was challenging! It's handheld, and is the most upwards I could point the camera balanced on the bathroom counter. 87 pictures and this is possibly the best. I framed the drops against the open door into the dark hallway for clarity. Just experimented with changing ISO and shutter and ended up having to use manual focus as I was close (18-200 lens is broken waa). I ended up using continuous…

L2M2AS1 Part C - B mode - dark indoors with hint of reflected light. ISO 200 55mm 1.0sec f/5.6 Nikon D7100. I tried some longer exposures but I like how dark this is to help the lines highlight the reflected light. I had a tripod and went up to a 10 second exposure, experimented with candlelight but this cool natural light with a shower long exposure was best. I picked this image based on fb feedback from students.

L2M2AS1 Part B Darkened subject with bright background. ISO 100 50mm f/2.2 1/2500th sec Nikon D90. Technically not a STREETscape, but there are street-like elements (??) Rule of thirds. Fast speed to compensate for amount of light and favourite (wide) aperture.

L2M2AS1 Part D - Presence ISO 640 50mm f/1.8 1/400th sec Nikon D90 The unknown caller thing was an accident but I think it creates a story. Cropped to a vertical image focused on the phone after peer CC. Presence filter adjustments (clarity, desaturation).

L2M2AS1 Part D Lr. Gradient Filter. ISO 3200 10mm 30.0 sec f/3.5 Nikon D7100. What a difference! Increased exposure and saturation in the lower half, and darkened blacks to decrease on sky noise. It was cloudy off to the right, but I couldn't resist the stars! Also, to the right there was grass nearby in the foreground that looked messy in a long exp.

L2M2AS1 Moonlight ISO 800 32mm f/8.0 1.3sec Nikon D90. At 30 seconds the sky was completely blown out. The moon was so bright there was a lot of light over the lake. I wanted to be able to SEE the moon, so I dialled back the shutter speed a lot. Luckily the seagull stayed still! I was scared to try and get closer in case it flew away.

L2M2AS1 Part B ISO400 18mm f/3.5 1/250th sec. I had a lot of light coming into the camera from outside so I chose a faster shutter speed but also played with the exposure lock to lighten the subject. Still some tweaking in Lr of shadows, highlights, and saturation.
