A flower seller in Romania’s gorgeous historic Braşov is today’s Monochrome Monday (#momo) challenge using Ilford 35mm B&W film. While travelling through Romania in 2009, this lonely flower seller resting in the charming streets of Braşov caught my eye. Using a 35mm film camera, not even the loud click of the camera disturbed her concentration while totally absorbed in making her tiny bunches of pretty flowers.

Today’s Monochrome Monday (#momo) challenge is sharing an image of the mysterious Forbidden City in China’s capital Beijing. Commissioned during the Ming Dynasty in 1406, the Yongle emperor’s court officially occupied the city in 1420 and prohibited access to most of the realm’s subjects – forbidden to ordinary people. And so, the city was aptly named the Forbidden City.
