This would be great for chickens in the winter - a moveable, covered run that could be shifted into a sheltered spot. It wouldn't provide a ton of outside space, but in winter they tend to spend more time in the coop anyhow.

Chicken Tunnel Chunnel - What a great idea! Build a safe tunnel and add outdoor space. Great for keeping smaller chickens separate from the larger ones until they grow larger. #ChickenRun www.FreeHenHousePlans.weebly.com

DIY Chicken Run - This is great to have around your garden area. The chickens will keep the bug population down and fertilize your garden soil.

Our chickens in their DIY chicken tunnel. We live in a residential area, so to keep the chickens protected from hawks, dogs and other predators (and to keep them out of our neighbor's yard) we hook up their portable play-pen to the run and let them range. Easily crafted from 2" welded wire fencing, cut to 54" length and sod staples to anchored to the ground, and dollar store zip ties to hold the sections together.
