The Land Of The Oratunga by Hans Heysen (1932) Most famous for his large oil paintings but I think Heysen's watercolors are his best work. He had the ability to find the poetry in Australian outback landscape.
Hans Heysen 1877 – 1968 was a German-born Australian artist. He became a household name for his watercolours of monumental Australian gum trees. Heysen also produced images of men & animals toiling in the Australian bush, as well as groundbreaking depictions of arid landscapes in the Flinders Ranges
