The Ramona Restaurant was a fixture in the first block of North George Street in York, Pa. It closed decades ago, was torn down and the site is now part of the York County Courthouse. This is a 1939 photo. When I was in high school, the restaurant was owned by Bill Asimos, who later owned the Colonial Coffee Shop, down the hill from York Hospital.

Tortaria, East Village. This is a gem of a restaurant. One day I literally web searched "best margs nyc", and a blogger led me here. This place is an all around win for a casual night out! Adorable intererior, close to NYU (so a popular place among students, interns, and recent grads), and delish tacos. The best part? $5 margs or $25 pitchers! I recommend you buy in bulk. ;)
