The George & Sarah Joslyn Home (known locally as Joslyn Castle), is a mansion in the Gold Coast Historic District of Omaha, Nebraska. Built in the Scottish Baronial style in 1903, the 35-room mansion had four stories, as well as a carriage house tower, built before the Castle in 1901. The home was built in just eleven months at a cost of $250,000. The Castle and the carriage house were built of Kansas silverdale limestone. There is a wrought iron door on the Castle that weighs over a ton.
In the midst of one of the city's most prestigious neighborhoods, a completely renovated colonial revival mansion is the grand dame of Charlotte and serves as an historic inn and meeting place. The setting is a page from history, a gracious estate made famous by its former owner James Buchanan Duke. The Duke Mansion is available for overnight lodging, meetings, weddings and other events.
Henderson Castle, Kalamazoo, Michigan - was built in 1895 and is currently a Bed & Breakfast. It's said to be haunted by the original owners, a soldier, a little girl and a dog. Activity includes physical contact, radios blaring even when unplugged, and apparitions.
