There's a folksy cottage in the distance with chimney smoke sailing into the sky. The original personal poem that I wrote for this piece is about love, loss and a feeling of deeply coming home to oneself. Free motion stitching abounds in this extremely detailed modern art quilt, and the personal verse was hand written on paper and stitched into the piece, creating a magical artwork that's full of sentiment and depth. Colorful hand drawn + painted paper is stitched throughout the piece, layered with hand painted and repurposed fabrics. This would be an extremely and unique piece for your home collection, or could be given to a special loved one. "Under The Stars" measures approximately 23" x 18" and is sold UNFRAMED due to delicate nature of shipping glass. I created this piece with the intention of the artwork being framed behind glass, however, if you would rather hang the piece as is, I would be happy to stitch two small loops at either side of the top for hanging as a quilt.
