Ponta de São Lourenço, looking west towards Caniçal - Madeira Island. Madeira island is known for its luxurious and beautiful landscape, where the green from the forests is the dominating colour. Yet, the eastern tip of the island looks barren by comparison, with the golden tones that remind us that North Africa is not that far. One of my favourite walks on the island, anytime of the year.
