Massacre, From Beyond**: An enjoyable little piece of death metal, albeit fairly cliche and stereotypical of the genre. I guess it's difficult to be cliche so early in the life of the genre, but it has that feel to it. Like this has already been done before and by much better bands. And it really had been done before by Death, Cannibal Corpse, and others. In other words, the album is okay, but the band seems like followers instead of trailblazers. 2/6/15
Sabbat - History of a Time to Come. Superior speed/thrash/death metal from Metal Blade's classic era. Full of wicked riffs and vocals that are paint-peelingly raw, this album is a great reminder of a time when metal was metal and rap was, well...not metal. It suffers a little from thin production, but once you get blasted by "Hosanna in Excelsis", you won't even notice.
