MDG - I attended Mother of Divine Grace K-8. This was the only Catholic school in the Buffalo area that had Dominican Nuns from Adrian Michigan--- they were excellent teachers. Located in the suburb of Cheektowaga, this parish was closed several years ago. Many great lessons learned here. - (mgb)

Main and Court Streets intersection viewed from Lafayette Square, 1950's. The same view, 2004. In addition to the Buffalo City Hall, center, the Liberty Building on the left and the U.S. Courthouse beyond it remain today. The Walbridge Building (right side) closest to City Hall, also stands. The Western Savings Bank which occupied the corner of Main and Court across from the Liberty Bank building, was demolished in the 1970's and a modern office building stands in its place.
