Fae Theatre Shadow Box - Etsy

An enchanted ruin, abandoned by the fae deep in a mossy wood, this shadowbox theatre in a vintage wooden case has an evocative air of disrepair. The faded pink wallpaper is peeling and the antique French lace curtains hang in tatters or in heaps on the floor. Around them lay pieces from old stage sets, among them a twig chair and walnut shell lute.The stage has an ornate surround of shell mosaic and a winged fae figure made from an antique German bisque doll. His wings are found butterfly wings encased in mica layers much like a 19th century natural history specimen. Piece measures approximately 14 inches high x 10 wide x 6 deep.
