The soulless Mojito! London architect Julian Hakes realized that the wearer’s weight is carried on the ball of the foot and the heel, so why would a full foot plate be necessary? Hakes decided to experiment with it and began wrapping his own foot in paper and drape and drew various geometric designs on paper. Since the paper wrap resembled a lime peel he called it Mojito. The result is a refreshing new shoe design that dedicated shoe lovers have called “surprisingly comfortable.”
